Bonnie Aller, piano instructor

“I am an experienced piano teacher who received a Bachelor's degree in Music, with emphasis in Piano Pedagogy and performance, from Penn State. There I studied piano with Marylene Dosse, and piano pedagogy with Timothy Shafer. I have been teaching private piano lessons since 1997. My studio offers two Recitals per year for students: Christmas "Mini-Recitals" at my studio in December, and the more formal Spring Recital.  I am a member of the national music teacher's organization MTNA, and also am a founding member of a new purely local organization: the Nittany Piano Teachers Network.  NPTN is dedicated to offering performance opportunities to students of all levels, and to continuously improving our craft as teachers and performers through sharing ideas and performance opportunities.  Through this organization I can offer my students 4 more optional recital opportunities per year, including the unique Piano Ensemble experience of the "Monster Concert" in April.  I have experience teaching children as young as 4, through teenagers and adult learners; all levels from pre-reading beginners through advanced are welcome at any age!
Anyone interested in more details can email me at bonniealler@comcast.net , or call me at (814)867-2418. I have a letter detailing my educational and musical background as well as an overview of my studio's policies that I can email directly to anyone looking for more information! Rates are $19/30 min., $28.50/45 min. My studio is located in Houserville (just a few minutes from PSU campus and the Nittany Mall. ) I have morning and early afternoon openings as well as some later afternoon/evening time slots for lessons, and am very excited to hear from homeschooling families!"
